I took the decision to work as a freelance translator to be able to do what truly motivates me and what I do best – to transfer concepts from one language to another.
I grew up between Russian and Spanish, and I learned to shift from one language to another naturally. Since very young years, I have developed passion for literature and creative writing, which I practised on both languages, and I used to translate my own texts since long before I considered to become a professional translator.
My interest for languages and literature led me to study Bachelor’s Degree in English at Complutense University of Madrid, and to complete a Master’s programme in English Literature focused on multiculturalism at Södertörn University(Sweden).
Due to my linguistic and literary preparation I specialise on the humanistic, literary and cultural sectors. Additionally I perform translations on tourism, advertising, marketing, nutrition, health, fashion and cosmetics. I also have experience in translating manuscripts such as letters, autographs, or other documents of historical value from Russian into English and Spanish.
Since three years now I have collaborated with Cálamo & Cran (in Spanish/English-into-Russian projects), a linguistic service company, in which I have completed several courses on professional translation with the combination English-Spanis.
